Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) is generally adopted to clean and concentrate samples prior to chromatographic analysis. Continued advances in analytical and preparative chromatography are raising performance requirements from SPE products, demanding improvements in recovery, capacity, selectivity & reproducibility.

Interchim spherical pure silicas, high capacity spherical PSDVB polymers and more recently ‘mixed polymers’, with both hydrophobic and hydrophilic characteristics, are addressing these demands within the solid phase extraction market.

Interchim SPE Sorbents

Ultra-pure Spherical Silica

Interchim have developed an ultra-pure spherical silica for the majority of their silica SPE sorbents. Spherical silica provides the optimal homgenenous bed density. It achieves greater reproducibility (column-to column and batch-to-batch) and facilitates greater sample diffusion and thus sample recovery (with lower purer collection volumes) when compared with irregular material.

Interchim Polymers - AtollTM

AtollTM PSDVB spherical polymers display some of the largest commercially available surface areas available on the market to maximise capacity.

Interchim mixed Polymers - PolyCleanTM & BioPTM

PolyCleanTM & BioPTM are mixed hydrophilic/hydrophobic high capacity polymers which provide optimal extraction of polar, non-polar, acidic, basic and neutral compounds whilst maintaining compatibility with all matrices/ pH range. BioP are wide pore for biological macromolecules. Ranges include additional ion exchange functionality.

Proprietary packing procedures

Interchim have developed and adopted a painstaking attention to detail manufacturing processes defined as Interchim Accurate Bed TechnologyTM.

Accurate Bed Technology™ optimises the performance of the SPE range individually, from column to column within a single batch, and from batch to batch. Such attention to detail is critical in maximising sorbent functionality and establishing reproducibility

SPE sorbent weight is guaranteed to +/- 1% accuracy and particle distribution is controlled through proprietary packing processes. Each Interchim SPE product is supplied with a batch specific standards conformity certificate detailing the specific sorbent batch and production number. Product integrity and shelf life is guaranteed through HDPE packaging.
